5 Bold Predictions for the 2024 NFL Draft

Updated: Apr 4

The NFL Draft is slowly approaching, so it is now time to lay out my five bold predictions for the 2024 NFL Draft. In which order do the wide receivers go? Where does Brock Bowers land? Here are my predictions.

1. WR's Break NFL Record

Wr's Break NFL Record

My first prediction is that this years WR class will break the NFL record for most receivers taken in the first round. This class is LOADED. People like Nabers, Odunze, and Harrison Jr are all pretty much locks for the Top 10 picks. However we could see players like Brian Thomas Jr, Adonai Mitchell, Troy Franklin, and Xavier Legette potentially sneak into the first round. If there is any year to break the record, it will be this year.

2. Michael Penix Jr. Sneaks Into 1st Round

Michael Penix Jr. First Round

Michael Penix Jr. has all the arm talent in the world. His deep ball is beautiful and he is accurate on majority of his passes. The only red flag I see is injury history. However, after his pro day, where he impressed many scouts, I see Penix as a first rounder. Teams will look past the injuries and invest in the talent he possesses.

3. Vikings Trade Up to Number 4

Justin Jefferson Trade

Keep Justin Jefferson. That is what everyone in the Vikings facility is trying to do. Jefferson said he will not sign an extension until the Vikings get their QB situation figured out. The only way this gets solved is if the Vikings trade up in the NFL Draft, so I am fully confident that is what they will do.

4. Marvin Harrison Jr. Falls to Pick 5

Marvin Harrison Jr. Falling

Marvin Harrison Jr. is without a doubt one of the best WR prospects ever. Unfortunately for him, this QB class is loaded. I expect the first four picks to all be QB's, since I have Arizona trading back. This results in Marvin Harrison falling right into the hands of Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers at pick 5.

5. Brock Bowers Falls

Brock Bowers falling

My last bold prediction is that Brock Bowers will fall into the second half of the first round. Bowers is undoubtedly the best TE in the draft. However, due to Marvin Harrison falling down a couple spots, players like Rome Odunze could potentially fall out of the top 10. This would leave the Jets, one of Bowers's best fits, with a decision. Do they pair Rodgers with a TE or WR? Ultimately, the answer will be WR. The next spot i see Bowers potentially going is at Number 16 to the Seahawks.
