Which NFC Teams will do better than last year? Which ones will do worse?

Updated: May 13, 2023

Every year, there are teams that do better, worse, or the same as the previous year. Here is my prediction for every NFC team.

Green Bay Packers- Worse

The Packers had a decent year last year, going 8-9. This will be Jordan Love's first year starting, so I think they will have a slight regression, just due to inexperience.

Chicago Bears- Better

The Bears had a horrible season last year, but had a great offseason. Fields is developing well and they finally got him some weapons. The Bears will be much better this year.

Minnesota Vikings- Worse

I think the Vikings will be worse this year. They had a phenomenal season, but were wild-card round exits. They lost lots of pieces this offseason, and will definetely be worse in the upcoming season.

Detroit Lions- Better

The Lions had a great second half of their season, and finished 9-8. They are a young team and are getting much better. They will have a great season next year, and could definetely win the NFC North.

Seattle Seahawks- Same

The Seahawks are getting much better, but due to strength of schedule, they will end up with around the same record as last year.

San Francisco 49ers- Same

The 49ers finished with a great record last year, and I expect them to finish with around the same record as this year. Though, if Purdy doesn't play and Lance does bad, they could definetely finish with a worse record.

Los Angeles Rams- Same

The Rams did not have a great season last year, and they will not have a great season this year. They have an old team and will not have much success this season. If the injuires pile up like they did last year, they could even potentially end up with a worse team.

Arizona Cardinals- Same

The Cardinals were one of the worst teams last year, and they will be one of the worst teams this year. Their whole team has problems, and they really have no chance of making the playoffs.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Worse

This one is pretty simple. Tom Brady left them and they now have Baker Mayfield starting. They will be decent, but not good. Their defense is slowly falling apart, and this is a team that will definetely have to rebuild.

New Orleans Saints-Better

The Saints have had a very good offseason so far, and are clearly getting much better. If Michael Thomas can stay healthy through the season, they could definetely win the NFC South.

Carolina Panthers-Better

Carolina has had a good offseason, and now own the #1 pick. They have an improving defense and are definetely getting better on the offensive side of the ball. If the QB they draft with the #1 Pick performs well, they could definetely win the NFC South.

Atlanta Falcons-Same

The Falcons were not very good last year, and they won't be very good this year either. They don't have a proven QB, and they have a pretty bad roster overall.

New York Giants-Same

The Giants had a surprisingly good season last year, and ended up with the 6th seed. I think that they will have the same success this year, and end up with around a 10-7 record.

Philadelphia Eagles-Same

The Eagles were the best team in the NFC last year, and I think they will be the best team in the NFC this year. Hurts just got a huge contract and will be playing some of the best football of his life.

Washington Commanders-Same

The Commanders have not figured out their QB Situation, but they may have with Sam Howell. This will be his first year as the starter, so they will do similar to last year.

Dallas Cowboys-Worse

The Cowboys always have a good roster, but never go far in the playoffs. I think they will have a slight regression this year, just because their division is getting a lot better.
