And then there were 8. Wild Card Weekend was filled with some major upsets, including a Packers win over the Cowboys and a Texans win over the Browns. Here are my predictions for the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.
Score Prediction: Packers Win, 33-27
In the first NFC Divisional Round game, I have the Packers pulling off the biggest upset of the year and beating the 49ers. This may sound absurd at first, but if we take a deeper look into it, there is a real possibility of this happening. Think about this- By the time the game starts, Brock Purdy will have not played for 3 weeks. The same goes for CMC. I do not think Purdy will look good against the Packers, and this is the main reason I have the Packers pulling off the upset. The next reason is Jordan Love. Nobody, and I mean nobody, has been able to stop him over the last 2 months. I have the Packers winning this in a shootout.
Score Prediction: Buccaneers Win, 31-30
In the second NFC Divisional Matchup, I have the Bucs pulling off the upset at home. The Buccaneers looked exceptional last week on both sides of the ball. Honestly, I can't say the same for the Lions. The Lions offense played well, but the secondary looked very vulnerable. I think Baker will take full advantage of this and take the Buccaneers to the NFC Championship.
Score Prediction: Ravens Win, 34-28
In the first AFC Divisional Round Matchup, I have the Ravens narrowly getting the win at home. This game will be close. The Texans are riding a hot streak while the Ravens are coming off a couple weeks of rest. If the Texans want to win this game, they have to start out hot. Ultimately, I think the Ravens D will force Stroud into a few bad decisions and this will lead to the Ravens getting the win and advancing to the AFC Championship.
Score Prediction: Bills Win, 37-34
I've been thinking about this game for a while. The Bills have played some exceptional football, and they have looked pretty unbeatable the last few weeks. The only thing holding them back right now is injuries. On the Chiefs side of things, they were finally able to get their offense going, and their defense absolutely shut down Miami. To add to this, we know how Mahomes is in the playoffs. This game could genuinely go either way, but I have the Bills edging this one out. We have not seen Mahomes play a road playoff game, and I think being at home for the Bills will tremendously help them get the win.
