Week 7 was absolutely wild, and for the first time in the year I have finished under .500. But, I am confident in my predictions for Week 8, so here they are:
Record through 7 weeks:
59-40
On TNF, I have the Bills edging out the Bucs in a close game. The Bucs defense will play well, but Allen and the Bills will rally for the win in the 4th.
In a battle between both NY teams, I have the Jets pulling out a close one. Tyrod Taylor has looked good, but I just don't think he will do well against this tough Jets D. I have the Jets by 7.
The Jags have been one of the most underrated teams this year, and they will continue to rack up wins. I think the Steelers offense will struggle against the Jags, and Lawrence and the offense will take advantage of this.
This feels like a trap game, but I am still going with the Eagles. The Commanders have not been as good lately, and I expect the Eagles to take full advantage of this.
I honestly don't think this will be a close game. The Vikings are coming off their best win of the season, and the Packers are coming off their worst loss of the season. The Vikings should roll over the division rival Packers.
With Will Levis starting, I just don't see the Titans offense being that good. It will take some time for Levis to get acclimated to the NFL, and having his first game against a tough Falcons D is no easy task. I think the Falcons dominate this game.
The Patriots shocked us last week, but it won't happen again. The Dolphins offense is just going to end up being too tough for the Patriots. Mac Jones will have a decent game, but he won't be able to keep up with the Dolphins.
In a battle of the rookies, I have Stroud and the Texans edging out a win against the Panthers. This will be Bryce Young's best game so far, but he will struggle in the 4th quarter and the Texans will take advantage of it.
This will be a close game, but I have the Cowboys getting a win in OT against the Rams. Dak Prescott will play well, and Tony Pollard will keep things going in the ground game. On the Rams side of things, I think Stafford will struggle to get the passing game going, and this will ultimately lead to their loss.
This will be one of the best games of the week. The Saints will get it going offensively, but so will the Colts. The reason I have the Saints beating the Colts is just due to Minshew's inconsistency. I think he will throw a crucial pick in the final minutes of the game to lose it for the Colts.
This will be a tight defensive battle, but I have the 49ers edging out the win. If Purdy plays, he will not be 100%, and this will show against a tough Bengals D. I have the Bengals by 4.
This game will not be close. Lamar is playing like a top 3 QB, and the Cardinals will not stop him. Expect a blowout.
This game will be tight, but I have the Chargers pulling out the win. Tyson Bagent will play well, but Herbert and the Chargers will mount a game winning drive in the 4th quarter to win it.
This game will not be close at all. The Chiefs are due for a dominant performance, and I believe it will happen in this game against the Broncos.
This is by far my biggest upset of the week. I have the Raiders beating the Lions. The Raiders defense will shut down Goff and he will not be able to get anything going. Jimmy G will handle business and the Raiders will get a win.
