Predicting the 2023 QB Carousel

With the 2023 season just a few weeks away from ending, I will be predicting the 2023 QB Carousel. There are many starting QB's on the market and there could be many changes to the 32 starting QB's in the NFL.

Derek Carr: Titans

Derek Carr is definitely one of the Quarterbacks who will not be on their current team. The Titans have major QB issues and they need to solve them either by trading or by drafting one. I actually think they will do both. I believe they will take a QB late in the first round or in the second round and have him sit behind Carr for a year or two. The Titans would be a perfect place for Carr.

Lamar Jackson: New York Jets

At first, I thought the Ravens would re-sign Jackson to a massive deal and Lamar would stay in Baltimore. But, after the Ravens signed Roquan Smith to a massive deal, they would have to franchise tag Lamar Jackson to prevent him from going into free agency. But, the problem with that is Lamar will definitely want to play on a deal. So, if the Ravens are unable to pay him, I think the Jets will make an aggressive offer to make Lamar a New York Jet.

Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay Packers

Yes, I do think the Green Bay Packers will want Aaron Rodgers back for another season. The Packers picked up at the end of the season, but they fell just short of the playoffs. Many are speculating A-Rod will leave the Packers, but I just don't see that happening this season.

Jimmy Garropolo: Miami Dolphins

This one is an interesting one. Tua has been really good when he plays, but he gets to many injuries. The Dolphins could really use Jimmy G as insurance if Tua goes down again next season.

Geno Smith: Seattle Seahawks

Geno Smith played phenomenal during the 2022-2023 season and has proven that he is a starting caliber Quarterback. Seattle wants him back and Geno also wants to be in Seattle. This should be a simple signing, and worst case, Seattle should franchise tag him.

Tom Brady: Retirement

Yes, I finally think its time for Tom Brady to retire. He came back from retirement last year to play this season. But, Brady has not played very well, and no matter the outcome of the playoffs, I think Brady will hang up the cleats after this season.
