Ranking the 5 Best Head Coaching Options for the Seattle Seahawks

Yesterday, the Seahawks moved HC Pete Carroll to an advisory role. The Seahawks Head Coach position is now available, and here are my top 5 candidates for that position.

5. Jim Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh Seahawks

At 5, I have Ex-49ers HC Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh was great as a HC for Michigan, and he is now looking for a job in the NFL. The Seahawks have everything a new HC would want- a young roster, an option to draft a franchise QB, and a good GM. For the Seahawks, Harbaugh gives them everything they would want. He knows how to coach a physical team and he could be the coach that brings the Seahawks to the next level. Plus, what's better than some revenge on the 49ers?

4. Mike Macdonald

Mike Macdonald Seahawks

At 4, I have Ravens DC Mike Macdonald. Macdonald has done a phenomenal job as the Ravens DC, and he has coached one of the best defenses in the past few years. For the Seahawks, Macdonald could be the coach that brings the defense to the level they were at in 2013.

3. Ben Johnson

Ben Johnson Seahawks

At 3, I have Lions OC Ben Johnson. Ben Johnson would utilize all of the Seahawks weapons perfectly, and if the Seahawks hire him along with a veteran DC, they could bring the team to the next level. Hiring Ben Johnson would open up so much for the Seahawks offense, and it could lead to them being one of the most explosive teams in the league.

2. Mike Vrabel

Mike Vrabel Seahawks

At 2, I have Mike Vrabel. Vrabel has prove himself to be one of the best HC's in the league. He brought Ryan Tannehill to the AFC Championship. Let that sink in. If the Seahawks hire him, I am convinced everyone in the locker room would respect him and this will lead to a championship environment in Seattle. Vrabel should be at the top of the lists in Seattle.

1.Dan Quinn

Dan Quinn Seahawks

At 1, I have Cowboys DC Dan Quinn. Dan Quinn has proven to be one of the best DC's in the league, and bringing him in would undoubtedly fix many of the issues on defense. The missed tackles would go down and the personnel use would be figured out. It would be very interesting to see what Dan Quinn does with two of the most dynamic CB's in the league. In addition to all this talent he brings, Quinn has lots of experience in the Seahawks organization. He was the defensive coordinator for them back in 2013. If I'm the Seahawks, Quinn would be my #1 target.
