This year's NFL Draft had one of the most stacked WR classes in a very long time. The WR class tied the record for most first-round selections, so it's safe to say most teams have a pretty good receiving core. Here are my rankings for the top ten wide receiver trios in the NFL.
HM: Tennessee Titans
WR TRIO: Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyler Boyd
As my honorable mention, I have the Titans. The Titans recently signed WR Calvin Ridley, but I just don't think it's enough to vault them to top 10. The WR core is pretty old, featuring veterans Tyler Boyd and DeAndre Hopkins. If the Titans core was a little younger, I would put them in the top 10 with no hesitation.
HM: Los Angeles Rams
WR TRIO: Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, Tutu Atwell
For my other honorable mention, I have the Los Angeles Rams trio. This group was very hard to rank because Cooper Kupp may be regressing faster than expected. However, if Nacua can keep up production and Atwell provides the Rams with speed, this group should be very dangerous next year.
10. Indianapolis Colts
WR TRIO: Michael Pittman Jr , Josh Downs, Adonai Mitchell
At Number 10, I have the Indianapolis Colts. I cannot stress how much I like this Colts trio. Pittman Jr. is one of the toughest receivers in the league, and pairing that with Josh Downs's deep threat ability, the Colts have a deadly duo. Now, we bring in Adonai Mitchell. Mitchell can be the big body receiver the Colts desperately need in the redzone. This trio from the Colts is one of my favorite in the league.
9. Minnesota Vikings
WR TRIO: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Trent Sherfield
When healthy, Justin Jefferson is the best receiver in the league. If you throw it his way, he will come down with it. When Jefferson got injured, Addison stepped up and proved he could be a WR1. Addison had some monster performances, and this led to one of the best duos in the league. This offseason, the Vikings added veteran WR Trent Sherfield. This gives them some security and a reliable target. This Vikings trio is one of the best in the league.
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
WR TRIO: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Trey Palmer
At Number 8, I have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Evans continues to be one of the most consistent and underrated WRs of the modern generation. Godwin is a perfect compliment to Evans because he requires almost just as much attention. Now adding Trey Palmer, a young stud, this Buccaneers WR trio is one of the most skilled trios in the league.
7. Cincinnati Bengals
WR TRIO: Ja'Maar Chase, Tee Higgins, Trenton Irwin
At Number 7, I have the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have one of the most complete trios. Ja'Maar Chase checks off every box needed in an elite WR, and he has proven himself to be a top 5 WR. Tee Higgins is a proven WR1 who will go up and grab those 50/50 balls that nobody expects him to come down with.
6. San Francisco 49ers
WR TRIO: Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, Ricky Pearsall
At Number 6, I have the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have one of the most deadly trios in the league- for now. With Aiyuk not showing up to OTAs amidst contract disputes, the 49ers receiving core could look different come the regular season. Whether that means trading Deebo to make money for Aiyuk or trading Aiyuk, it's not guaranteed we'll see these three receivers on the field for the 49ers. However, If the 49ers find a way to keep both Deebo and Aiyuk, this 49ers trio could prove to be a top 5 trio in the league.
5. Philadelphia Eagles
WR TRIO: AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Parris Campbell
At Number 5, I have the Philadelphia Eagles. This is where the list gets VERY tight. Brown and Smith are both great jump ball receivers, but they can also do serious damage on short plays. Campbell gives the Eagles a veteran to rely on, and this trio is easily one of the best in the league. The only reason I don't have the trio top 3 is due to some inconsistencies. Last season, it just felt like there were weeks where both Smith and Brown could not get open. If they can find ways to be a little more consistent, the Eagles WR core could be the best in the league.
4. Miami Dolphins
WR TRIO: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham Jr.
At Number 4, I have the Miami Dolphins. There are two things you can depend on in life: taxes and Tyreek Hill scoring an unbelievable touchdown. Hill has shown that he is one of the best receivers in the league, and there is no better compliment to him than Jaylen Waddle. Waddle started last season a little shaky, but he did finish the season out pretty strong. With the new addition of veteran Odell Beckham Jr., this Dolphins trio should be one of the most dangerous trios next year.
3. Seattle Seahawks
WR TRIO: DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Tyler Lockett
At Number 3, I have the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks have one of the most well-rounded trios in the league. All three WR's could be a WR1 or WR2 on many teams in the league. With new OC Ryan Grubb, I expect DK and JSN to get significantly more targets. If Geno can play well this year, all three wide receivers should put up great numbers.
2. Chicago Bears
WR TRIO: DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze
At Number 1, I have the Chicago Bears. Last year, DJ Moore put up another fantastic season and finished the year with over 1k receiving yards. After trading for Keenan Allen and drafting Rome Odunze, the Bears will have one of the most deadly trios. If Odunze breaks out, the Bears will have three elite options for Caleb Williams.
1. Houston Texans
WR TRIO: Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, Tank Dell
At Number 1, I have the Houston Texans. Three number 1 WRs. This Texans trio is going to be near unstoppable next year. Collins and Dell proved themselves to be reliable targets for Stroud and with the addition of Stefon Diggs, one of these three receivers is going to be open every play. CJ Stroud and the Texans offense will be one of the best units in the league next year.
