With the Super Bowl less than one week away, it is finally time for me to give my prediction on the last game of the NFL season. Will Mahomes complete the three-peat? Will Hurts and the Eagles complete the revenge tour? Here is how the game will go down.
Q1: Eagles Winning 6-3
In Quarter 1, I have the Eagles taking a slight three point lead in a low scoring quarter. Both offenses will have RedZone opportunities, but neither will be able to punch it in for six. Both offenses will come out of the gate with balanced attacks, but it will work for neither of them as the defense steals the quarter.
Bold Quarter Prediction: Xavier Worthy fumbles the ball on the opening possession
Quarter 2: Eagles Winning 16-10
In Quarter 2, I have the Eagles extending their lead to 6 after a strong offensive quarter. With two minutes left in the quarter, Mahomes will lead an important drive to cut the lead down to one possession before the half. The Eagles will dominate the quarter, but the Chiefs will still be close at halftime.
Bold Quarter Prediction: Harrison Butker will miss a kick
Quarter 3: Eagles Winning 19-16
In Quarter 3, the Chiefs will close the gap to three points going into the fourth quarter. Barkley and the Eagles offense will struggle to get anything going on the ground, and Mahomes and the Chiefs offense will put up 6 points in the quarter. Going into the final quarter of the season, the Chiefs will have the ball down three points.
Bold Quarter Prediction: Jalen Hurts throws an interception
Quarter 4: Chiefs Win 30-25
In the final quarter of the game, Mahomes and the Chiefs offense will finally find their legs and mount a comeback against the Eagles. The Chiefs will start the quarter off very strong, and take a 23-19 lead. After a quick Eagles drive, the Chiefs will score again, pushing their lead to 11 points. With five minutes left in the game, Hurts will lead a great drive, but fall short on the two point conversion. With very little time left, Mahomes gets the ball back and never lets it go. The Chiefs complete the three-peat and Mahomes will cement himself as one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game.
