Week 5 Predictions for the 2023 NFL Season: Bengals Bounce Back, Steelers Continue Playing Bad

We are now near a quarter through the year, and it has been wild. Many teams have disappointed us, and many have shocked us.

My record through 4 weeks: 38-22

Here are my predictions for Week 5:

Bears v Commanders

On TNF, I have the Commanders downing the Bears. The Bears choked a HUGE lead last week against the Broncos. Don't expect anything good from them until they fire their whole coaching staff. The Commanders should get this one easily.

Saints v Patriots

In a close matchup between the Saints and Patriots, I have the Saints by 3. The Patriots have been decent, but Mac Jones has not been able to get anything going at all. I think the Saints will win this game in the trenches in a very gritty game.

Bills v Jaguars

I'll be honest-the Jags have disappointed me. I had high expectations, and they have failed me. The Bills on the other hand have looked great. I don't think this will be a very close game, but it definitely will be high scoring. Bills by 15.

Titans v Colts

In an AFC South matchup, I have the Colts by 7. Richardson is legit, and the Colts actually look good. But, the Titans had a very impressive win last week against the Bengals. I could see this game going either way, but I think the Colts may edge this one out.

Texans v Falcons

CJ Stroud is Top 10. I said what I said. These Texans will be very good in a year or two. I expect them to dominate the Falcons. Bijan will do what he can, but it just won't be enough.

Lions v panthers

This game won't be close. Unless the Panthers trade for an elite WR, this offense will continue to be horrible. The Lions have looked great so far, and they will continue during Week 5.

Ravens v Steelers

In an AFC North matchup, I have the Ravens beating the Steelers by 11. The Steelers have disappointed everyone, and the Ravens have looked elite. Don't expect this game to be close.

Bengals v Cardinals

This is my game of the week. The Cardinals have been better than everyone expected, and the Bengals have been way worse than expected. Despite this, I have the Bengals bouncing back and winning by 3. I would not be surprised at all if the Cardinals won, but this is a do or die game for Burrow.

Dolphins v Giants

I don't have much to say here. The Giants are bad. Like really bad. The Dolphins are coming off of a tough loss, and will be looking to get back on a winning streak. This game will be a huge blowout.

Rams v Eagles

This game will be a good one. Kupp is back, so the Rams are back at full force. The Eagles offense looked great last week, but the defense struggled. I have Hurts and the offense scoring a touchdown late in the 4th to win the game.

Broncos v Jets

Zach Wilson looked great last week. He was making clutch throws and making big plays on offense. The Broncos looked decent last week, completing an impressive comeback against the Bears. This will be a low scoring game, but I have the Jets by 7.

49ers v Cowboys

On SNF, I have the 49ers beating the Cowboys by 8. The 49ers are a consistent team that has proven they can beat elite teams. The Cowboys will put up a fight, but it won't be enough.

Vikings v Chiefs

I think this game will be closer than expected. Whenever the Chiefs play a decent team, it's always close. The Vikings have not been able to close out close games, so I have the Chiefs winning this by 6.

Packers v Raiders

This game will come down to the wire. The Raiders defense will play well, but the offense won't get anything going. I have the Packers by 1.
