Why the Jets need to use Lamar as leverage for Rodgers deal

Before Lamar requested a trade, Rodgers was really the only good QB on the market. His value was very high. But, after Lamar requested a trade, his value went down. If I was the Jets, even if I prefer Rodgers, I would express interest in Lamar. This would force the Packers to make a deal that the Jets want. The deal is taking very long, and this would likely speed it up. The Jets should want Rodgers for 1 high draft pick and a few low ones. As of now, the Packers probably want 2 high draft picks. If the Jets express interest in Lamar, the Packers will agree to a trade worth less.
